Flextight 4.5 kg, 1 piece
Main features short:
Universally applicable, 1 sealant for indoor use for all surfaces, including porous ones
Flextight remains elastic and can be painted, plastered, taped, etc. after drying
Adhesion to dusty and damp surfaces, therefore can be used in construction and renovation areas
Application areas:
In addition to a standard sealant, Berner Flextight can also be used for airtight and vapor retarding purposes for: Penetration seals. Seams, gaps, tears and holes. Wall-floor connections. Wall-to-wall connections. Window connections
Suitable surfaces:. All common porous surfaces. All materials used by window manufacturers such as PVC, aluminum and wood. On window strips. Almost all EPDM and bitumen
Product advantages:
Multifunctional. Can be used for all types of purposes and surfaces and can be used as a standard sealant, as well as to create an airtight and vapor barrier finish
More user-friendly compared to traditional solutions. It remains elastic and can be painted, plastered, taped, etc. after drying. In addition, compared to conventional surfaces, it is easier to process, has a long shelf life, is odorless, requires no pretreatment, and cracks/shocks/etc. up to 5 mm can be filled without any problems
Usable under all circumstances. Adhesion to dusty and damp surfaces, therefore can be used in construction and renovation areas
Hints:
Not suitable for glass, PE, PP and PTFE plastics
We strongly recommend using Berner Flextight at room temperature, otherwise the processing properties may be impaired
Do not dilute with water or solvents
Not suitable for applications where continuous immersion in water is possible
The use of masking tape (on the window frame) is recommended. However, this should be removed shortly after applying Flextight before it cures
For wall-floor connections, apply Flextight sufficiently high (above the water barrier) to ensure an overlap with the plaster
For other connections, ensure that Flextight forms a seamless strip over the joint on both sides of the connection with a minimum width of 3 cm
Flextight can be removed from surfaces and tools with water before curing
Flextight can easily be repaired with the same material
Limited UV resistance
Needed to prevent dirt from entering the bucket. A new or well-cleaned brush is recommended to avoid problems with sticking to the surface
Processing instructions:
Stir before use
Berner Flextight is applied to the surface with a flat brush directly from the packaging.
Spread it over the surface and apply the paste undiluted and evenly to the substrate in at least 2 layers of at least 1 mm (max. 3 mm).
For the best possible coverage, apply Flextight the second time at a different angle. We recommend applying the 2nd coat only after skin has formed on the first coat
The application thickness must be measured (wet) with a wet film comb
For window applications, ensure that the Flextight on the window frame forms a seamless strip of at least 3 mm, over the soft foam up to +/-5 cm in the reveal area of the shell
