Processing instructions:
EPDM facade tape: Attach the tape to the substructure with EPDM adhesive or using a stapler. When attaching the stapler, it is important to ensure that all staples lie in the overlapping area of the later facade cladding. Joints require at least 10 cm overlap, with the upper band overlapping the lower band. The EPDM facade tape must be at least 20 mm wider than the supporting battens to which it is applied. This means that it can protrude at least 10 mm on each side.
Self-adhesive EPDM facade tape: Tape is processed directly from the roll. Remove the protective film and fix the exposed adhesive surface on the support slat and then activate the adhesive areas by pressing and rubbing firmly. The support batten must be clean, dry, free of dust and grease. Please note that the self-adhesive coating serves as an assembly aid. The band must therefore be additionally attached mechanically at the edges. The facade cladding must be installed in such a way that it does not transfer any movements (e.g. due to thermal expansion) to the EPDM facade tape, otherwise the facade tape can be pushed out of its position.
Characteristics:
Permanently flexible. Tensions and movements are recorded
Low Sd value. Water vapor from the wall can diffuse to the outside
Absolutely sealed against driving rain, drifting snow and drafts
Consistently high quality. Tested according to DIN EN 13501-1, Class E
Extremely light and weather resistant. Suitable for use in ventilated facade constructions
