Processing instructions:
EPDM facade tape: Fasten the tape to the substructure using EPDM adhesive or a tacker. When attaching the tacker, make sure that all the staples are in the overlapping area of the future facade cladding. Joints require a minimum of 10cm overlap with the top band overlapping the bottom band. The EPDM facade tape must be at least 20 mm wider than the battens to which it is attached. As a result, it can protrude by at least 10 mm on each side.
Self-adhesive EPDM facade tape: Tape is processed directly from the roll. Remove the protective film and fix the exposed adhesive surface on the batten and then activate the adhesive points by pressing and rubbing vigorously. The batten must be clean, dry and free of dust and grease. Please note that the self-adhesive coating serves as an assembly aid. The tape must therefore be additionally mechanically fastened at the edges. The facade cladding must be installed in such a way that it cannot transfer any movements (e.g. due to thermal expansion) to the EPDM facade tape, as the facade tape can otherwise be pushed out of its position.
Characteristics:
Permanently flexible. Tensions and movements are absorbed
Low Sd value. Water vapor from the wall can diffuse outwards
Absolutely tight against driving rain, drifting snow and draughts
Consistently high quality. Tested according to DIN EN 13501-1, class E
Extremely light and weather resistant. Suitable for use in curtain-type, rear-ventilated facade constructions
