Easy processing of wood on steel structures. The wings expand the hole in the wood so that the screw thread passes through the wood without interference. When they hit steel, the wings break off and the thread can fully engage.
Processing instructions:
Sheet thickness min.–max.: 2.5–6 mm.
For machines with automatic depth stop, slip clutch or switch-off. Please note the specified processing speed.
The suitability of self-tapping screws with wings must be checked through suitable preliminary tests before use.
Not suitable for screwing wood containing tannic acid (e.g. acacia, oak, larch, mandioqueira, cedar - A4 screws recommended).
