Keyed alike vs. keyed differently. Cylinders that key alike have the same key. i.e. All cylinders with keyed alike 1 can be combined with each other and all cylinders with keyed alike 2 can also be combined (however, keyed alike 1 and keyed alike 2 are not compatible with each other). Differently keyed cylinders cannot be combined. Only the keys supplied always fit here.
